经济风险、政治风险、自然灾害等等各种风险充斥着社会生活的方方面面，而劳动领域同样也存在着诸多风险，工伤风险就是其中的一种。劳动者在提供劳动的过程中偶尔受伤在所难免。对于工伤，简而言之即指劳动者在用人单位工作期间因工作原因而受到的人身伤害。由于遭遇工伤的劳动者往往会陷入生活困境，为了充分保障劳动者的基本权益，我国自建国伊始便制定了一套较为完备而复杂的工伤法律体系，一直以来在劳动领域发挥着重要作用。
If the employing unit fails to apply for work-related injury confirmation for the employee with a prescribed time limit, and work-related injury is confirmed by the labor administrative department subsequently, the medical expenses incurred by the employee within such period shall be borne by the employing unit on its own rather than the social insurance funds.
