What are the legal restrictions on the background check of candidates?

雇主在法律层面是否可以对即将雇佣的候选人进行相关的背景调查,比如教育背景、财务收入状况、以往的工作记录和表现,犯罪记录等?

    Dong Mingzhu: RMB 1,000 is paid to each employee as extra allowance for working under high temperature

    8月7日,格力电器发布全员公告,给全体员工发放旺季高温补贴1000元,这次津贴是在原有的高温补贴基本上额外发的。

    On Aug. 7, Gree Electric announced to all its employees that RMB 1,000 will be paid to each employee as allowance for working under high temperature during busy seasons, which constitutes a supplementary to the original allowance.

    Only-child nursing leave policy has been enacted in six regions

    近日,重庆拟立法设立独生子女“护理假”的新闻引发社会关注。梳理发现,近年来,已经有包括河南、福建、广西、海南、四川等地出台了类似政策,独生子女“护理假”时间在10到20天不等。

    Recently, the news concerning Chongqing Government’s intention to introduce only-child “nursing leave” by legislation has drawn much public attention. It is found that similar policies have been introduced in Henan, Fujian, Guangxi, Hainan, Sichuan and other regions in recent years and that period of such only-child “parental leave” ranges from 10 to 20 days.

    China Unicom has established operating centers with Alibaba and Tencent respectively: Employee’s salaries are not restricted by state-owned enterprise system

    近日,联通内部通知显示将分别与阿里和腾讯成立电子商务运营中心。运营中心管理制度灵活,采用互联网企业的运作方式;招聘的员工按照社会工资来支付薪金,不受到国企薪金制度限制。

    Recently, internal notice has shown that China Unicom will set up E-commerce operating centers with Alibaba and Tencent respectively. Operating center applies flexible management system and operation mode of internet enterprises; employees recruited have their salary paid based on social salary standards and are not restricted by the salary system of state-owned enterprises.

    10 provinces have released enterprise wage guidelines for 2017

    截至8月8日,至少有北京、天津、山东、山西、河南、陕西、安徽、吉林、内蒙古、江西等10个省区市公布了2017年企业工资指导线,为企业给职工调整工资提供了指导性建议(非强制性)。

    As of August 8th, at least such provinces and cities as Beijing, Tianjin, Shandong, Shanxi, Henan, Shaanxi, Anhui, Jilin ,Inner Mongolia and Jiangxi have released enterprise wage guidelines for 2017 which have provided enterprises with guiding suggestions with respect to employee’s salary adjustment (non-mandatory).

    一份选取包括杭州、南京、天津、重庆、武汉等13个“新一线”城市的报告显示,2016届本科毕业生毕业半年后在“新一线”城市就业的平均月收入为4217元,比一线城市本科毕业生低1220元。

    A report referring to 13 “new first-tier” cities as Hangzhou, Nanjing, Tianjin, Chongqing, Wuhan and other cities showed that, the average monthly income of graduates who graduated in 2016 with bachelor degree working in “new first-tier” cities is RMB 4,217, RMB 1,220 lower than that of graduates with bachelor degree working in first-tier cities.
