    国美诉陈晓名誉侵权索赔4900万元一案,北京市第三中级人民法院日前作出终审判决。国美称前董事会主席陈晓离职后向媒体发布有损国美品牌形象的不实言论,在以合同违约为由起诉讨回了1000万元后,再诉陈晓,索赔经济损失4900万元。2017年12月20日,法院最终驳回了国美的诉求。

    The Third Intermediate People's Court of Beijing Municipality recently made the final ruling on the defamation case of Gome against Chen Xiao with a claim of RMB 49 million. Gome alleged that its former Chairman of the Board Chen Xiao, upon resignation, had made false remarks that undermined the brand image of Gome. As a result, after retrieving RMB 10 million with a lawsuit on the ground of breach of contract, Gome again brought a suit against Chen Xiao for compensation of economic losses at RMB 49 million. The court finally rejected the claim of Gome on December 20, 2017.
