    据外媒报道,郑州富士康一名员工跳楼自杀身亡。报道称,此次该员工的死不由得让人们把这起事件和2010年和2011年的自杀事件相比较,引发了人们对富士康工人工作环境的忧虑。

    According to reports of foreign media, an employee of Foxconn Zhengzhou committed suicide jump off a Faxconn building. The public reportedly cannot help but being reminiscent of suicide incidents in 2010 and 2011, thereby triggering widespread concern about the working conditions of Foxconn employees.

    多部门近日联合印发了《外国人才签证制度实施办法》。《办法》进一步放宽人才签证有效期限和停留期限,经省区市外专局确认符合条件的外国人才,将可获发5年或10年有效、多次入境、每次停留180天的人才签证。

    Recently, several ministries have jointly printed and issued the Measures for the Implementation of the Visa System for Foreign Experts. These Measures will further extend the validity period and the duration of stay of talent visa. Qualified foreign experts as confirmed by the provincial and municipal administration of foreign expert affairs may be granted a multiple-entry talent visa with a validity period of 5 or 10 years and a stay of 180 days each time.

    Nitto Denko Suzhou factory will halt production, leading to conflicts with employees

    据报道,偏光片龙头日东电工苏州工厂突然在非工作日(1月7日)对员工宣布1月关厂,2月开始解除合同,引发员工冲突。据悉,事件起因是,公司蓄意隐瞒关厂,对员工表示会继续经营,实则预谋在1月份关厂,并在元旦放假期间开始转移生产设备,春节长假期间搬空工厂。

    Reportedly, the polarizer leader Nitto Denko Suzhou factory suddenly announced to employees that the factory would be closed during January and labor contracts would be terminated in February on a non-business day (January 7), accounting for conflicts with employees. It is said that the cause lies in the company’s deliberate concealment of shutdown. The company claimed to employees that it would continue operation but actually premeditated a January shutdown, with an intention to transfer its production equipment during the New Year holiday and vacate the factory during the long Spring Festival holiday.

    据报道,1月8日,万达在上海的云计算部门召开内部会议,宣布接下来不仅会在销售上停止与IBM合作,还将暂停在云计算方面的大量研发工作,意味着公司将进一步缩减员工规模。

    The Shanghai-based Cloud Computing Dept. of Wanda reportedly held an internal meeting on January 8, announcing that not only the cooperation with IBM in terms of sale would be shelved, but also plenty of its R&D work on cloud computing would be suspended. This means the company will further downsize.

    The action camera maker GoPro has announced a plan of 250 job cuts. At present, the total number of GoPro employees is over 1,200. Moreover, GoPro also announced to withdraw from the UAV market mainly because of regulatory risks and partly due to excessively fierce competition.

    日前,广州市正式公布《广州市人口与计划生育服务和管理规定》,《规定》明确,独生子女的父母年满60周岁以上,患病住院治疗期间,其子女可以享受护理假,每年累计不超过15天。《规定》将于2018年2月1日起施行。

    Guangzhou has recently promulgated the Regulations of Guangzhou on Population and Family Planning Service and Management. According to the document, where parents with only child are above 60 years old, the child may be eligible for a nursing leave of no more than 15 days during their hospitalization per annum. These Regulations will be implemented as of Feb. 1, 2018.

    Two months have lapsed since the car-sharing company EZZY announced dissolution. The other day, its former employees revealed that as of now EZZY has not yet paid off salary and economic compensation promised at the time of dissolution to employees. User deposits and employee salary are estimated at around RMB 5 million Yuan in aggregate.

Relevant employment data show that SOEs are still the first choice for graduates. Graduates receive an actual salary of RMB 4,820/month on average, despite of their expected monthly salary ranging mostly from RMB 5,000 to 6,000.
