How should we handle an employee whose personal freedom has been restricted by relevant authorities due to suspected crime?


The employees has been detained by the public security bureau over suspected crime. Under such a case, can we suspend his work? If yes, how should his tenure with our company during the work suspension period be calculated? What should we do if the employee is not convicted of criminal offense in the end?

    Shanghai has recently promulgated the Notice of Shanghai on Adjusting the Upper and Lower Limits for the Contribution Base, Contribution Ratio and Monthly Contribution Amount of the Housing Provident Fund in 2018. According to the document, in 2018, the contribution ratio of the housing provident fund by the employee and the employer is 7% respectively, corresponding to a maximum monthly contribution amount of RMB 2996 and minimum amount of RMB 322. As for the supplementary housing provident fund, the contribution ratio of the employee and the employer is 5% respectively, corresponding to a monthly cap of RMB 2140.
