    Fuzhou, Fujian: Enterprises unable to pay the medical insurance expenses upon the expiration of deferred period may sign an installment payment agreement


    Reportedly, Fuzhou, the capital of Fujian Province, recently issued a Notice, clarifying that upon the expiration of deferred payment period, micro-, small and medium-sized enterprises that are unable to make a lump sum payment of the payables for such deferred payment period may sign an installment payment agreement with a term of one year.

    Henan: Adjust standards for work-related injury insurance benefits, with disability allowance up by 115-165 yuan per month


    Reportedly, the Department of Human Resources and Social Security of Henan Province recently issued a notice to raise the work-related injury insurance benefits including the disability allowance in 2020, and the allowances for Grade 1-6 disability are to be increased by 165 yuan, 155 yuan, 145 yuan, 135 yuan, 125 yuan and 115 yuan respectively. The adjustment will take effect from January 1, 2020.

    Recently, according to foreign media coverage, the Chancellor of the Exchequer Rishi Sunak announced the New Jobs Support Scheme. According to the scheme, starting from November 1st, employees who want to be entitled to the government subsidy must work a minimum 33% of their normal hours. For the remaining hours not in work, the government and employer will each pay 1/3 of the wages as a subsidy (up to 22% respectively).

    According to recent media reports, the French presidential palace announced that paternity leave will be extended from the current 14 days to 28 days, of which 7 days are compulsory leave. Employers will be subject to a fine of 7,500 euros if they prevent the male employees from taking the paternity leave. The new policy will be enacted as of July 2021.
